I rate this watch as a "4" but would readily up this to "5" if Casio could make two improvements: (1) Water resistance can easily be lost when a watch's battery is changed, and 100M resistance is a key feature of this watch. Having just bought the watch, I obviously don't know how long the original battery will last, but why doesn't Casio use a 10-year battery as it does in some other watches, including very good, low-cost Edifices? (2) The hands and hour markers need to be made more luminous -- they're not quite readable in total darkness.

The watch is a pleasure to wear, light weight, readable (except as noted above), and so far very accurate. Light weight does not to me signify low quality -- I think of the strength and engineering of airplane wings, for example, or how autos over the decades have improved greatly, in many instances becoming lighter, more crash resistant, and better handling all at the same time.
